Business Intelligence

Turn big data into smart data

In operational practice, business intelligence is understood to be the automation of controlling, reporting, planning, forecasting and market and customer analysis. The resulting company data, e.g. from ERP systems, is intended to be used to analyse and evaluate the situation of the company.

The PSIpenta Business Intelligence modules use rapid access to current company figures to create an ideal basis for sound decisions in operational or strategic areas.

Data warehouse and business reporting

The actual analysis and evaluation of company figures typically takes place in a data warehouse. First, data from the ERP system or systems is placed in a separate database, the data warehouse for analysis. Subsequently, analytical evaluations required for reporting are set up: from simple aggregations of e.g. sales figures for individual products in the last few days, weeks, months, totals and processed in the individual divisions, to complex statistical analyses using data mining, e.g. analysing the behaviour of individual customers or groups.
